Fro’s Weekly Start Em Week 5

Week 5 Start em Just as a reminder these players will never be the elite players. This list is meant to help guide my followers set their lineups weekly.

QB – Ben Rothlisberger vs Atlanta Big Ben averages 10 more points at home vs road games. The Falcons have given up the 4th most fantasy points to QBs this season & allowed the 2nd most completions. The Steelers will have to throw a lot to keep pace with their own defense giving up points to Matt Ryan and the high scoring Falcons offense. This is projected to be the highest scoring game of the week and I expect there to be high scoring fantasy performances as well.

RB – TJ Yeldon at Kansas City With Fournette officially ruled out this week Yeldon will be getting the start vs the weak Chiefs defense. He’s been averaging 12 carries/game even with Fournette starting two of those games and has added PPR value on a team that’s 3rd heaviest in passing (averages 3.5 receptions/game). He’s a top 15 RB while Fournette is out, Chiefs defense has given up the most points to running backs this season.

TE – Eric Ebron at New England On an injury cursed Indy team Ebron finds himself as the top target Thursday night against the Patriots. He is 2nd only to Hilton in team targets, averaging 7.5/game. TY Hilton & Jack Doyle will be out tonight in a game where the Colts will need to throw a ton to keep pace with the Tom Brady led offense. With all the injury issues for TEs this season I expect Ebron to put up a top 6 performance among TEs. He is averaging 12.5 PPR fantasy points/game which would be a gift to fantasy owners this week with limited options. D/ST –

Titans D/ST @ Buf If you started the D/ST playing against the Bills every week this season you’d average 13.5 points/game. This would be good enough for the 2nd best D/ST in the league behind only the Chicago Bears (15 pts/game). The Titans have the 5th highest blitz rate and will be getting to Josh Allen early and often. Allen was sacked 7 times and threw 2 interceptions last week vs Green Bay. Look for the Titans to capitalize on the great matchup.

WR – Calvin Ridley at Pittsburgh He’s been the hottest WR over the last two weeks, scoring 5 TDs, 200 yards on 11 receptions. He could be considered a weekly boom or bust but he’s a must start this week against the Steelers defense who is among the leagues worst in covering receivers. You should be riding Ridley’s hot start to the season into week 5, I wouldn’t be surprised to see another big performance from the former Alabama All-Star!

Titans VS Chiefs Prediction

Chiefs: 21                                                                                                                                   Titans: 20

The Chiefs played the Titans in a spectacular game last year which ended up with a game winning 60 yard feild goal from the Titans Ryan Succop (Final score 19-17 Titans Win). But I think the Chiefs will have the edge in depth in this game, Titans Lose 21-10.

Players to Watch:

  • Tyreek Hill
  • Marcus Mariota
  • Derek Henry
  • Patrick Mahomes II
  • A’doree Jackson

NFL Mock Draft (Part 1)

1. Cle: Myles Garret-  No dispute here, clearly the number 1 player in the draft.

2. SF: Mitch Trubisky- “San Fran” Needs a New Face for the Franchise, and Trubisky will be just that.

3. CHI: Marshon Lattimore- Chicago need help in the secondary, Lattimore is the best Corner in this Draft.

4. Jax: Lenard Fournette- Jacksonville could go many different directions, being one of the worst rushing teams in the league last year this seems like the smart move.

5. TEN: Forrest Lamp- Titans need Help in the Secondary and the Offensive Line, i think they go Line First Round.

6. NYJ: Deshaun Watson- Jets need a True Franchise QB, I think Watson can be that Guy.

7. LAC: Malik Hooker-  Chargers need a Safety, bottom line.

8. CAR: Ryan Ramczyk- With Cam Newton complaining about all the hits last year, i think the Panthers listen and get a Lineman first round.

9. CIN: Takkarist McKinley- Bengals love Big, Tough, Strong linebackers, i think McKinley will fit in nicely.

10. BUF: De Shone Kizer- Buffalo needs a Franchise QB, Kizer will be able to sit out this year and learn under Tyrod Taylor.

11. NO: Jonathan Allen- Saints cant get Pressure or stop the run, Allen does both.

12. CLE: Jamal Adams- Cleveland needs some Secondary help, Adams is a Day 1 starter.

13. ARI: John Ross- Arizona loves Speedy Receivers, and Larry on his last leg its time to bring in some youth.

14. IND: Cam Robinson- Indy has to protect Andrew Luck, bottom line. They go Offinsive Lineman First round.

15. PHI: Dalvin Cook – Ryan Mathews isn’t a every down back, and neither is Darren Sproles. Cook adds youth to a old Running Back Core.

16. BAL: Zach Cunningham – Baltimore needs youth on the Defensive side of the ball. And Zach Cunningham is a perfect fit for Baltimore.

17. WAS: Soloman Thomas – Washington needs a explosive Pass Rusher, Thomas is just that.

Makus Wheaton: The Ultimate Fantasy Sleeper

markus-wheaton-catch-pittsburgh-steelers-new-england-patriotsMarkus Wheaton is the WR3 for the Pittsburgh Steelers, He is my #1 fantasy Sleeper for the 2016-17 season. I will give you 5 reasons why you should take Markus Wheaton in your Fantasy Draft.

  • Martavis Bryant was suspended for all of the 2016-17 season, Wheaton should pick up most of Bryant’s targets that would have flown his way
  • Markus in all 3 of his NFL seasons has compiled more Touchdowns, Yards, Catch AVG., than his previous season, and as an added bonus he has never fumbled in his whole NFL career
  • Markus has such an incredible upside and potential with Pittsburgh’s big-play threat Martavis Bryant gone, he should most likely pick up 3-4 more targets a game, and 40-50  more repetitions this  season
  • It is basically Him and Antonio Brown, the Steelers WR3 Sammie Coates only had 1 reception last season for 11 yards, Big Ben has been throwing to Wheaton for the past 3 years and “feels comfortable throwing it to him even more”
  • All there opposing teams will put their best corner on Antonio Brown or they might even leave him in double coverage, which will create some good openings and big gaps in the secondary for Wheaton

NFL Fantasy Mock Draft

nfl-1-300x194

I am Doing Fantasy Football this season and wanted to share with everyone who I drafted in my most recent Mock Draft.

1. Antonio Brown (Pit – WR)  I have the 1st overall pick in this particular league so I was choosing between OBJ and Antonio Brown I think Antonio will have a very productive season and is worth the first pick.
2. Aaron Rodgers (GB – QB)  Rodgers as the 18th pick is a very great deal. I believe since Jordy Nelson is not injured and the addition of Jared Cook that leads me to believe Rodgers will have a very solid season.
3. Matt Forte (NYJ – RB) Forte’s Fantasy value is overlooked this year for a few reasons. The NY Jets deal did not help his fantasy value but I do not think it hurt it either, he is going to be running behind the second-best offensive line in football and look for a surprisingly good season out of the 30-year-old.
4. Russell Wilson (Sea – QB) Russel is one of those guys that could have a great week or and awful week, I hope since Jimmy Graham is healthy that will give Russell a boost in his Completion % and a few more TD’s.
5. Golden Tate (Det – WR)  Tate is my number 1 sleeper for this whole fantasy year because of his great upside and potential. With mega-tron leaving Detroit, Tate will have a chance to become a big replacement for Calvin Johnson and become a top 10 receiver.
6. Doug Baldwin (Sea – WR) Doug Baldwin is a GO or No type of pick, he will either have a 1,000 yard receiving or have a 600-yard receiving season. I am banking on a 1,000-yards receiving, but I am not expecting His 14 TD’s from last season to return any time soon.
7. Eric Decker (NYJ – WR)
8. Jeremy Langford (Chi – RB)
9. Chris Ivory (Jax – RB)
10. Coby Fleener (NO – TE)
11. Larry Fitzgerald (Ari – WR)                                                                                       12. New York (NYJ – DEF)
13. Michael Crabtree (Oak – WR)
14. Justin Forsett (Bal – RB)
15. Dorial Green-Beckham (Ten – WR
