Reshad Jones is one of the best Safeties (statistically) in the NFL with 135 tackles, 2.0 sacks, and 5 ints. Jones is entering his 7th year in the NFL, he will be the Dolphins ”Veteran” in the defensive backfield, with the average age of the Dolphins secondary being 24. The Defensive Coaches are hoping he can mentor there young starters, and also put up the big numbers he accumulated last season. The Dolphins addition of Byron Maxwell should put some of the pressure off of Jones to make all the plays in the secondary.
